In a follow up to last year’s presentation, designer extraordinaire, Arlene Hodge-Murray, featured her 2010 collection at The Oasis, on Circular Road, San Fernando, on July 31. Anointed Hands Designs, Hodge-Murray’s business, is well known in the south, and this year’s production was a grand blend of fashion, as young models in African patterned ensembles mirrored that of the mature models. The second segment was followed by models wearing the traditional T-shirt and jeans, which depicted the designer’s simple but creative style. In the other sections, Hodge-Murray highlighted her basic black and white line, which was fashioned to the likes of the old English way of dressing.
There was even a segment for the beach lovers that was not revealing, but was enough to show that its wearer was intent on having a good time at the beach. And special and formal occasions certainly were not left out, as Hodge-Murray gave patrons an eye-full in that area as well. And even if the younger people were unsure of how to use the conventional accessories, such as the cane and handbags, to complement their outfits, Hodge-Murray also took care of that.
