Trinidad and Tobago-born chef and owner of Super Wings restaurant in Brooklyn, NY, Colette Burnett, has earned more bragging rights after beating Food Network Iron Chef Bobby Flay in a `Throw Down.`
The battle for the best wings, aired Saturday night on the Food Network, showed Burnett besting Chef Flay on taste in an impromptu throw down at her Brooklyn restaurant.
The former banker turned restaurateur has created a following for her many varieties of Caribbean spiced wings since winning the title of Best Wings in Brooklyn earlier this year. The restaurant is only a year old and on Saturday night it racked up more fame by getting top exposure of the Food Network.
The restaurant is located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, at 1218 Union Street and features Trini Tamarind wings, Lava Wings, Lucian Honey Mustard wings, Ginger Buff wings and Spice Island rub wings among others.
