One of the items that Finance Ministers of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) considered at their meeting on Monday in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, was additional support to Haiti’s reconstruction.But even as they contemplated this issue, Edwin Carrington, CARICOM Secretary-General, urged the Region to support Chile in the wake of an 8.8 magnitude earthquake, which devastated central and southern parts of the Latin American country on Saturday 27 February.
